Kites! Oh how fun kites can be. Kites come in sizes big and small. Colors from both ends of the spectrum. And the designs are completely awesome. But have you ever asked yourself how a kite could do such a thing? Well, kites create lift from deflecting wind towards the ground. Wind is formed when hot air rises and cool air sinks. I was able to learn about this in my science class. To learn more about how kites fly you can go to http://www.skratch-pad.com/kites/fly.html. Hope you fly your kites well!

The Computer

I believe, out of all of the advancements in technology, that the computer has made the greatest impact on society. The computer made it easier to communicate people from on place to another. A computer is also like a library. It has information you could find in a library. The computer can also be used to share ideas and beliefs. Thirty years ago, people did not have the computer or the internet. So, be glad what you have now that other people did not have thirty years ago.

Class Response 3.1

In Treasurer's science class, we had a chance to do a lab. And when I say lab, I mean an experiment. In this experiment we needed to find out the viscosity of four different liquids. Viscosity is a liquid's resistance. It's what makes the liquid runny or some what still. I presume you know what a liquid is. If not, then you need to look it up in a dictionary. Don't worry, this post will still be here while you're looking up the word. Now, how would we find out which liquid is the runniest. Well we will race the liquids on a slanted piece of space. Which ever hits the bottom is the fastest and has the least amount of viscosity. Whichever is the slowest will have the most viscosity. We tested ketchup, honey, maple syrup and milk. Guess which ones the fastest? If you said milk, then I have to say I'm sorry, but you're right. Which one's the slowest. It's the ketchup. But, I think this is good. If we changed the viscosity of ketchup, it might gives us a soggy burger.
