Class Response 1.1
In class, we're making a podcast. Our podcasts are based on a scientist that is either dead or alive and attending at Rutger's University. If our scientist is still alive and kicking, then we could email and question them. To make a podcast, we needed help from Garageband. Garageband allowed us to record our music and the information we gathered on our scientist. Our podcasting site is at http://www.omegascience.podomatic.com/. My podcast is on Mary Feiser and check it out. If you like it please comment! Here or at the podcast website.

Current Event 1.2
What killed the dinosaurs? If you believed it was a meteor, then you might be correct. But, there is another theory of how the dinosaurs became extinct. The theory is that the dinosaurs were overcome by diseases. These diseases could have been caused by insects since there has been many nasty insects. For example, they found ticks, nematodes, parasites, and biting flies in amber and fossilized dinosaur poop. That means they were there back then. The diseases did not kill them but weakened their defenses. So, they were more susceptible to other disasters like volcano eruptions or a meteor.
